Love and compassion can be mistaken for weaknesses. But only the strong can be loving and compassionate

Sometimes one has to be firm and tough, which might appear to be unkind. One has to draw boundaries and be able to say 'no', to protect the well being of self and others. Being unkind, non-cooperative and standing your ground, because it's in the best interest of others, also serve as love and compassion. It's not always about being good, kind, supportive, helpful, and pleasing.

Love and compassion is about encouraging others to be independent and the best version of themselves. I've learnt this along my journey this far.

I am one cruel person who never rushes to support or help anyone. I always look at every situation as a unique one and look for unhealthy patterns within the situation, that might want to 'prey' on my unconditional love and compassion, and I choose to be assertive and set healthy boundaries, and be selective in the way I respond to every situation, so as not to contribute to the problem, or to be a part of the games people play.

I might have got my name from being mean, 'Meana'...that's what my kids and friends often call me. I don't care. I will always be cruel to be kind, rather than pleasing and considerate in one's mind.

"It's the villain, who drives ordinary people to become super heroes".

Holistic understanding about psychosomatic ailments....

I hope this article will be useful for everyone, Healers and non - Healers too...

Holistically speaking, a body-mind-spirit approach explains and effectively addresses the 'who'-'what'-'why' respectively.

The 'body', includes 'who' you are, your biology, your constitution, inborn personality traits, ....the genetics one is endowed with, particular vulnerabilities and diagnosable medical conditions.

The 'mind' encompasses your thoughts ('what' you think) about self and others, which is often deeply influenced by experiences or learning during the formative years. It includes the learning and unlearning of 'stuff' too.

One's judgemental nature of self and others. Our self concept and body image, perfectionism, and the self talk that criticizes or cheers you on....are all in the 'mind'.

The 'spirit' asks, " 'Why' am I here"?
It goes beyond our 'call of duty' and extends towards a much bigger and higher 'connect". It extends beyond self interests, in the belief that we're here to help and enrich one another.

This spirit has often been described as the root of life, and the source of the infinite within each one of us. It is both the seed and the tree of hope.

Although the 'mind', 'body' and spirit seem independent, they continously blend in and affect one another...making them interdependent on one another..... ~ Mina da Costa
